In W7, Brazil's tomato prices saw a significant year-on-year increase of 35.34%, dropping to USD 1.09/kg from USD 0.80/kg in Feb-23, with an 11% MoM rise but a 13% WoW decline. The price surge is attributed to extreme heat, impacting production and causing market instability, despite stable consumption levels. Factors such as the completion of fields from the winter harvest and high volumes harvested in Nov-223 also contributed to the price rise.
