In Jan-24, Brazilian fresh strawberry prices exhibited resilience with a 49.68% YoY surge, despite a monthly decrease. The price drop in Jan-24 reaching USD 3.78/kg from USD 4.88/kg, was attributed to high demand and reduced supplies due to adverse weather conditions affecting the 2023 crop productivity. But because of rising global demand YoY, Brazilian strawberries saw a price hike ofUSD 3.78/kg in Jan-24 as compared to USD 2.52/kg during the same period a year earlier.
