Strawberry from Greece gained a significant position in the German import market. A gradual increase over the period from 2015 to 2019 was followed by a sharp surge of $18.31M in 2019. Germany, as the world's third importer of strawberries, is now fulfilling the domestic consumption of fresh strawberries year-round while the supply from Greece fills the low season of the main exporters, Spain and Netherlands.
