The wholesale price of almonds in Turkey soared +91.07% YoY to 0.70 USD/KG in W3 December 2021. The price increase was the result of a decrease in production due to natural disasters that occurred due to seasonal changes. This also led to a decline in exports to 56 M USD as lower supply. However, the Turkish government provided almond saplings which were distributed to Turkish farmers in order to restore the production and export of Turkish almonds in the future.
