Avocado Import prices in the US increased in Q3 2021. The import price hit 1.14 USD per pound in July 2021 compared to the same period of the preceding year increased +16%. The price soared by 1.35 USD per pound in August 2021, +36% higher than in August 2020. High import price in Q3 2021 made the US hold back imports and prefer to supply avocado consumption with local production. US avocado imports in August 2021 dropped to 181M pounds from 192M pounds in the previous year.
