These prices have consistently remained below the 2022 levels, falling by 4.2% since W3 of Jan-23. This situation is attributed to increased production and decreased exports in 2023. Lower prices and a robust economy have increased domestic beef consumption. However, changing economic conditions could shift consumption to more affordable alternatives like poultry and pork.
