The wholesale price of hazelnuts in Turkey was 2.03 USD/KG in early January 2022. Turkey's hazelnut exports which increased to 2.26 billion USD in 2021 are expected to continue this year. The reduced supply of Italian hazelnuts due to unfavorable weather and parasitic diseases will support Turkey to dominate the global hazelnut market in 2022. However, if supply is insufficient, this potentially increases the price.
