The price of limes was quite volatile throughout the second half of 2021. The wholesale price of Tahiti limes increased to USD 0.6 per kg in early August 2021 as the São Paulo region experienced a drought which led to a lack of volume and has pushed prices up. Meanwhile, rainfall had increased the volume of limes in October 2021, so the price started to fall slowly. Then the low availability around November made the price rise again to USD 0.59 per kg. However, the lower demand in December made the price drop again to USD 0.47 per kg.
