The wholesale price of mustard seed in India is at 0.91 USD/KG in the third week of December 2021. Although it is +31.78% YoY higher than last year's price, the price has shown a downward trend in the past few months. Shortage of supply at the start of the harvest season led to temporary price increases. However, as the country's mustard seed production is expected to increase to 100-110 lakh or 10 million tons in the current Rabbi season (2021-22 crop year), the price of mustard seeds in India will fall further.
