The wholesale price of oranges in Egypt rose slightly by +20.59% YoY to 0.25 USD/KG in W3 November 2021. On the other hand, the wholesale price of oranges in Russia fell -17.74%YoY to 1.21 USD/KG in the same period. Egypt is the largest oranges producer and exporter in the world. This year, unfavorable weather disrupted Egyptian oranges growth and export delays caused prices to rise slightly. Russia, which has banned imports of oranges from Turkey has allowed Egyptian oranges to dominate the Russian market. Delayed exports and high Egyptian orange prices may also affect the oranges market in Russia as it relies on imports from Egypt.
