The wholesale price of organic walnuts in France has been trending higher since the end of September, after hitting multi-year lows. Prices dropped as low as USD 4.88/kg at the end of September, as European households' emphasis on healthy eating was overpowered by the need to cut back on living costs amid rampant inflation. As living costs started to decrease in the latter half of 2022, walnut prices in France started trending higher. Organic wholesale walnut prices in the last week of December were at USD 6.10/kg, a 25% increase over the last 3 months.
