The price increase was recorded at +125.05% for potatoes on the Russian market. The first spike occurred in mid-June with a value of around 0.59 USD per KG, then the second spike occurred when potatoes were successfully sold for 0.65 USD per KG in early October. Heavy rains that hit Russia made it difficult for producers to maintain production volumes, resulting in a shortage of supply which also caused market prices to rise.
