In W3 of Oct-23, the wholesale price of fresh dragon fruit in Thailand dropped by 23.77% to USD 0.93/kg. The drop can be attributed to increased domestic supply during the peak harvest season, with regions like Chanthaburi, Rayong, and Phetchabun contributing. Furthermore, fierce competition from Vietnam, particularly in the Chinese market, has impacted price stability. As Thailand's primary export market is China, accounting for 83.4% of exports, reduced demand and elevated supply may continue to cause price volatility in the near future.
