Tomatoes Oversupply Brings Down Wholesale Prices in Spain

The wholesale price of fresh tomatoes in Spain descended 56.02% YoY to USD 1.82/kg in W5 of July 22, compared to the same period last year when it was USD 4.13/kg. Oversupply of fresh tomatoes in the domestic market, caused by the loss of the UK market in the post-Brexit period, as well as the import of fresh tomatoes from Morocco, led to a decrease in the wholesale price of fresh tomatoes in Spain.
