The price of sugarcane in Vietnam has increased by +7.7% WoW to 140K VND/Piece. Vietnam faced bad weather made sugarcane growers lose production. Therefore the price was adjusted higher to attract the growers to increased production. Sugarcane’s price in Mexico also inclined by +29.31% YoY to 15 MXN/Piece. Mexico also faced a high temperature disrupt production make the government give incentives to the growers to inclined sugarcane supply. In contrast, the Brazillian sugarcane price decreased -4.5% YoY to 1.34 USD per KG. Brazil has to lower sugarcane prices to attract buyers due to decrease demand. Lastly, Malaysian sugarcane has decreased to 0.59 USD per KG due to a shortage of labor and lockdown restrictions.
