Pineapple Prices in China Surge 30.39% YoY Due to High Seasonal Demand and Limited Supply

The wholesale price of fresh pineapple in China's Guangxi market increased by 30.39% YoY in Nov-23 due to high seasonal demand and increasing global prices. China's pineapple market is heavily reliant on imports, and the ban on pineapple imports from Taiwan has widened the supply gap. Although Indonesia has provided some relief, the country still needs more supplies to meet the demand. The price is expected to maintain an uptrend due to better prices in other markets.
