The price of Hass avocado on the Chilean wholesale market has been fluctuating since entering the fourth week of August last year. However, the annual price in the wholesale market widened from mid-December to the first quarter of 2021, indicating a higher level than the previous year. For the first quality Hass avocado, the price gap increased by 97.92% YoY while for the second quality was recorded for +102.14%. Although the total value of global avocado imports has decreased slightly, the Hass avocado variety from Chile has been maintaining its demand in European and Asian countries.
