The wholesale price of tomatoes in India skyrocketed in Week 22 due to the recent unseasonal rains in northern India that have severely affected the tomato crop supply. The price had an impressive 125% MoM increase when it stood at USD 0.27/kg in the Andhra Pradesh market. Prices will remain high for at least two months until the new crop arrives from other regions.
