The wholesale price for cucumbers in Ukraine has collapsed to the lowest in years, reaching USD 0.33/kg. The price registered a substantial decrease of 32% WoW and a significant 65% decrease from the previous month. The very high supply of cucumbers on the market has made producers make mass sales at low prices in order to manage their inventory and avoid losses. The abundance of cucumbers available leads to increased competition among sellers resulting in a price collapse.
