Turkish wheat Prices Increase due to skyrocketing input costs

Turkish farmgate soft wheat prices soared to USD 0.48/kg over the past year, up 46% YoY mainly due to skyrocketing input costs and depreciation of the Turkish lira. On top of this, international grain prices amid the Black Sea geopolitical conflict drive local wholesale prices up. To account for higher costs, the government has raised wheat purchasing prices.
