When chicken imports to the US fell in 2019, their value rose again in 2020. The total value increased to nearly 180M USD, of which 90% was dominated by Canada. In 2021, the value of chicken imports into the US appears to be increasing as volumes hit over 15,000 thousand pounds in June. Chile and Canada still dominate the US market, with Chile also supplying more chicken in the first half of 2021. Chicken demand is likely to improve in 2021 as business markets are also slowly re-activating in the US market.
