More Than 1M ha of Wheat Cultivated in Winter Irrigation Scheme in Oromia, Ethiopia

In the Oromia region of Ethiopia, wheat has been cultivated on more than 1M ha of land, of which 72,066 ha are located in the West Shoa zone. 330.7KT of wheat are expected to be harvested from the West Shoa zone. The problems observed in the winter irrigation development work will be corrected, and the development will continue. The winter irrigated wheat cultivation in the region is not only improving the livelihood of the farmers, but also doubling the productivity.
