Very High Price of Chilean Avocado in W5 in China Due to Low Supply and High Demand

On February 1, 2023, a single container of Chilean avocados was opened in Shanghai's wholesale market. The prices increased to USD 31.14-32.62/4kg (RMB 210–220/4kg) for sizes 18–20–22–24 and USD 62.28/10kg (RMB 420/10kg) for sizes 26–28–30. These prices are three to four times higher than in December 2022
