As an alternative to the demand for meat and milk in the country, livestock producers seek to detonate buffalo breeding, whose meat is more economically accessible, and increase the buffalo herd in Mexico, reported the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (Sader). According to data from the Mexican Association of Buffalo Breeders (AMEXBU), there are currently more than 58,000 head of buffalo cattle in the country, with a presence in 29 of the 32 states.
