"The increase in purchases of derivatives on the international market was associated with the still restricted supply of raw materials in the country and the decrease in the average price negotiated, especially in the powdered milk category – a product responsible for almost 53% of Brazilian purchases in the month" , according to analysts Munira Nasrrallah and Juliana Santos, from the Cepea Leite Team. According to the bulletin, imports of powdered milk totaled 6.4 thousand tons, 22% higher than the volume purchased in September 2021.
