Ukrainian farmers can apply for demining through DAR

The program has already started in Kharkiv region and will be extended to Mykolaiv, Kherson and potentially other regions. "As part of the survey that will be held among users of the State Agrarian Register (DAR), FAO and WFP in cooperation with the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine (Ministry of Agricultural Policy) determine the needs of farmers in demining and restoration of agricultural land. Farmers from the Kharkiv region are invited to fill out a questionnaire by June 18, 2023 to determine the priority of demining. To take part in the survey, farmers must be registered in the DAR and follow the link that will be sent in a message to the personal account in the DAR or to the e-mail address specified when registering in the agrarian register," the FAO clarifies. Applicants will be required to indicate how many hectares of land have been affected by explosive remnants, as well as provide GPS coordinates of the boundaries of such land parcels.
