According to preliminary statistics of the General Department of Customs, the export of vegetables and fruits in August 2022 increased by 9.2% compared to July 2022 and 19.7% compared to August 2021, reaching USD 272.71 million. . Generally, in the first 8 months of 2022, the country's fruit and vegetable export turnover reached 2.2 billion USD, down 12.8% compared to the first 8 months of 2021. Vietnam's vegetables and fruits exported 44% of the total turnover to the Chinese market, reaching nearly 967.5 million USD, down 32.4% over the same period in 2021; In August 2022 alone, exports to this market reached US$94.37 million, up 19% compared to July 2022 but down 7.7% compared to August 2021. Behind the main market of China is the US market with US$ 179.17 million, accounting for 8.2%, up 19%.
