Dubai is an important logistics and market center for the trade of agri-food products in the area, and in this context, Expo Dubai 2020 is an opportunity to show the exportable offer of quality Mexican products: Agriculture. Among the Mexican products with halal certification that are exported are: canned fish, poultry, beef and kid, chocolate, sauces, sweets, candies, tortillas, avocado, chia, nopales, dates, aloe vera, oils, infant formulas and spices. In order to generate jobs in the rural sector, as well as prosperity and roots for young people in their communities, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development promotes the diversification of agri-food exports to markets in countries with a Muslim majority population, through halal certification.
