In 2022, the share of EU countries in the total value of exports was 72%, and the proceeds from exports increased by 49% to EUR 2.6 billion. The largest importers of dairy products on the EU market were: Germany with 20% of the value and EUR 730 million, including mainly liquid milk and cream as well as cheese and curd, the Czech Republic with 7% and EUR 252 million, including mainly cheese and curd as well as butter and milk fats, the Netherlands with 6% and EUR 210 million, including butter and milk fats, whey and SMP, and Italy with 5% and EUR 196 million, including mainly cheeses and curds and SMP.
