Prices for raw milk in Ukraine as of April 11 have decreased by 3-5 kopecks, depending on the variety, since the Association of Milk Producers conducted preliminary monitoring on March 27. The correction of prices for raw materials was a necessary measure in the interests of processors to reduce the cost of production of dairy products in the conditions of reduced demand within the country and on the sales markets, as well as a sharp drop in milk prices in Europe.

The analyst of the Association of Milk Producers Giorgii Kukhaleishvili reports. The average purchase price of extra grade milk amounted to UAH 12.13/kg excluding VAT, which is 5 kopecks less than in March. The price range for this variety in farms varies from UAH 10.84/kg to UAH 12.70/kg. The upper limit of the price range dropped by 10 kopecks. The price of the higher grade also dropped by 5 kopecks, to UAH 12.13/kg without VAT. The order of prices for this milk in farms is from UAH 10.00/kg to UAH 12.10/kg. The average price of first-grade milk decreased by 3 kopecks, to UAH 11.64/kg without VAT. The minimum price in farms was UAH 10.00/kg, and the maximum was UAH 11.80/kg. The upper limit of the price range for the first grade decreased by 10 kopecks. The weighted average price of the three varieties fell by 4 kopecks and amounted to UAH 11.97/kg without VAT.
