W34: Chicken Egg Update

In W34 in the chicken-egg landscape, in Kazakhstan during the first half of 2023, egg production decreased by 1.8% year-on-year (YoY), with around 2.4 billion eggs produced. Indonesia has exported around 557,280 chicken eggs to Singapore, valued at USD 75,038.08 so far in 2023. In South Korea's Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, the Animal Hygiene Laboratory declared all farms as 'suitable' after conducting microbiological and residue tests on chicken and quail eggs. These safety tests aimed to maintain egg quality and prevent potential issues caused by the misuse of chicken mite drugs and egg-related illnesses during the hot and humid summer. The inspections involved collecting eggs from 33 farms in July and assessing them for harmful residues (including pesticides and antibiotics), salmonella, foreign matter, and egg quality.
