Kenyan mangoes account for 21% of the total value of mangoes produced globally. These sweet, flavorful fruits are grown on 49,000 hectares of land, producing 779,147 metric tons valued at Sh11.9 billion. Commercial cultivation of mangoes primarily takes place in the countries of Makueni (also known as the mango belt), Kitui, Embu County, and Machakos. Makueni County is the leading region for Kenya’s mango production with over 4 million mango trees grown by roughly 100,000 farmers.
Kenya has one of the longest mango seasons that range from October to March (high season) and a shorter season from April to June covering mainly the Coastal region.
Tridge is specifically offering pre-season contracts for Apple mango and Kent mango.

Production & Region
Tridge’s mangoes are produced in 7 different provinces across Kenya. The country’s arid eastern regions provide 61% of all mangoes, followed by Rift Valley and Coast which cover the rest of production. Our farmers work closely with service providers who conduct farm audits, followed by the Integrated Pest Management practices to check for pest infestations and evaluate production conditions.
