Notice N°102 ORANGE INCREASE IN WIND ON THE COAST Issue date: Sunday, April 21, 2024 Start of the event: Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at 00:00 hours Issue date: Sunday, April 21, 2024 End of the event: Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. Period of validity of the warning: 71 hours Senamhi reports that, from Tuesday, April 23 to Thursday, April 25, the increase in wind speed from moderate to strong intensity will be recorded on the coast. This increase could generate the rising of dust/sand and the reduction of horizontal visibility, mainly in Ica. In addition, cloud cover with fog/mist, and scattered drizzle is expected towards sunset, early morning, and early morning hours. On Tuesday, April 23, winds are expected with speeds greater than 32 km/h on the north coast, values close to 34 km/h on the central coast, and values over 20 km/h on the coast of Arequipa. On Wednesday, April 24, winds are expected with speeds around 37 km/h on the north coast, values close to 34 km/h on the central coast, above 38 km/h on the coast of Ica, and values over 20 km/h on the coast of Arequipa. On Thursday, April 25, wind speeds greater than 32 km/h are expected on the north coast, values close to 34 km/h on the central coast, above 38 km/h on the coast of Ica, and values over 20 km/h on the coast of Arequipa.
