Tridge has developed partnerships with reliable and trustworthy Pineapple producers in Uganda to provide high-quality Pineapple to the global market.

Tridge’s Pineapples are mainly produced and packed in Kampala, Uganda. We’re well-established in the key production and processing region, such as south of Lake Kyoga, in western Uganda, Kayunga District, and Luweero district. Kayunga district is one of the leading pineapple producing districts in Uganda producing approximately 15,960 tons of pineapple in a single season.

Our Pineapple suppliers source directly from over 2000 farmers in Uganda where the majority of farmers participate in training organized by extension workers, buyers of processed Pineapples, and farmer groups.

Pineapple farmers in Uganda rarely use chemical inputs, making the pineapple producers in Uganda organic by default.

Our Pineapples from Uganda are picked at the right maturity where they are measured to confirm the right Brix and Acid levels before being transported to packhouses in Kampala.

At the packhouses, pineapples are brushed and sorted to remove fruits with defects. Then before packing, Pineapples are trimmed to leave a stock of one inch, and graded according to color, size, and weight. The export product is directly packed into cartons, chilled before transportation by reefer trucks or pickups to potential ports of loading such as the Entebbe Airport in Uganda.
