Amador Cellars is a small, family-owned business owned and operated by the Long family. Mr. and Mrs. Long purchased their 22-acre land in Amador County, an area where he purchased grapes to make wine at home in 2000, including a 20-acre Zinfandel Vineyard. Then they started building a winery and in 2004 he created Amador Cellars. This family-owned winery thrives today in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley.
What began as a small 20-acre Zinfandel Vineyard in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley has thrived and now produces 3,500 to 4,500 cases per year, has a rustic event barn, new barrel room, and vineyard that has six different Mediterranean varietals. They plan to produce as much wine as we can sell to our tasting rooms and our loyal wine club members. Growing and sourcing the best fruit possible and crafting beautiful wines that are worth remembering is their goal.
