Château Brane-Cantenac stands proudly in the heart of the prestigious Margaux appellation. Renowned for its wines of remarkable elegance and finesse, this 75-hectare property is an emblem of quality and excellence in the world of fine wines.
The vineyards carry within them the will of men. The legend of Brane-Cantenac, born 300 years ago, evokes a flourishing relationship between man and the land, gaining momentum over the years. Called Hostein in the 18th century, this large vineyard was then bought by the Gorce family, and produced one of the most famous wines of the Médoc long before the 1855 classification.
Sufficiency has no place at Brane. Tradition must be combined with a forward-looking approach and a constant search for improvement. Recent investments in a completely renovated vat room and significant improvements made to the equipment express a concerted approach to improving quality while reducing our ecological footprint. Continuous experimentation in the vat room and the cellar ensures our presence at the forefront of modern viticulture.
