Eduardo Loureiro

Eduardo Loureiro's initiative is what gives rise to the company. With his in-laws, the young businessman learned how to make the famous Cavacas das Caldas and started his confectionery specializing in the Caldas da Rainha regional sweets of Cavacas das Caldas, Beijinhos das Caldas, Suspiros, and Trouxas de Ovo.

All of it started with a small batch of these treats, which were only sold at Mr. Loureiro's Java Pastry in the historic heart of the city and the city's famous Fruit Square. Furthermore, sales could reach as many as 200 kilograms of Cavacas per weekend due to the high tourist traffic.

As time went on, production went up, and it started selling to many of the city's pastry shops. Later, it expanded to other parts of Portugal.

In 2012 came the chance to obtain an adjoining organization, Monte Verde, Ltd. (situated in Relvas, St Nick Catarina), which created customary Wafers, the previous vanilla treat, in this way expanding our scope of items.

We launched our business once more in 2012 to find new markets. Working with the major distributions, starting with the well-known markets of France, England, Germany, and Switzerland: agencies for central purchasing

We began our dream of modernization in 2013 when we expanded our Caldas da Rainha facilities.

We added new customers who were looking for this product when we installed our first continuous furnace in 2016 to produce thinner wafers. In the same year, we made progress by purchasing a piece of land in the Industrial Zone of Santa Cecilia, close to Caldas da Rainha, and started building our new facilities. We expect to have them finished by the end of 2017 so that we can better serve our customers, maximize, modernize, increase production, and unify our efforts.
