A small to medium-sized golden orange fruit often tinged red where most exposed to the sun. It has a smooth yet velvety skin and the flesh is usually firm, not juicy but definitely smooth and sweet.

An exotic-looking citrus fruit, the Blood Orange has a crimson-red pigment to its flesh as well as its rind. They are less acidic than usual naval varieties and have softer flesh. Blood Oranges have a raspberry-like flavour in addition to the usual citrus notes and have a rich blend of vitamins, antioxidants and fibre. The Cara Cara Orange is sometimes referred to as the red-fleshed navel and has a reddish flesh and deep orange skin. They have a sweet berry-like flavour, are low in acid, juicy and virtually seedless. Cara Cara’s have higher levels of vitamins A and C than regular navels’ and are a good source of folate and the antioxidant lycopene, which gives them their gorgeous hue.
