Joel Schiro Distribution is 1,000 honey-producing beehives in the Pyrenees, a thriving network of producers covering almost all regions of France and other Southern European countries. A selection of honeys consists of this following characteristic. First is plant origin and/or geographic origin, then each incoming batch undergoes strict quality control. Also, it has an ability to satisfy all honey packers and processors with a large amount of harvested honey,or use monofloral or honey from a specific region to satisfy even the most demanding customers.

The company is specialist supplier of local bee varieties from the Pyrenees. Careful selection over 30 years has resulted in a virtually pure strain of local bees. As extremely hardy bees, they can withstand long periods of starvation without additional feeding, and are capable of producing heather, honeydew, it is especially suitable for collecting summer mountain nectar such as chestnuts and firs. It is also very useful for drone breeding in hybrid mating zones.
