The Kolos Agro-Industrial Company is as old as contemporary Russia. In the Loktevsky district of the Altai Territory, a small business called "Germes" was established in 1991; later, with an increase in production quantities, it was renamed Pokrovskoye LLC.
The primary activity is crop production. The business farmed 2,700 hectares of land. The business has had the distinction of being an outstanding seed farm for the cultivation of soft wheat types since 2009. Officially serving as a breeding reproducer for the production of the Kazakh white-headed breed of cattle since 2010, the agro-industrial firm "Kolos" The Kolos firm has been given the designation as a breeding facility for the raising of the Kazakh white-headed breed of cattle since 2015.
