Marvesta Shrimp Farms was founded in 2003 out of a deep desire to provide an alternative to imported shrimp. At the time, aquaculture was a new field, but the founders saw the industry's incredible potential and set out on an adventure that would change not only their lives but also the lives of their customers and the shrimp industry as a whole. Marvesta is not the only company working to develop and spread the idea of indoor, sustainable shrimp farming, even though it might be argued that they are recalibrating traditional methods of shrimp farming in favor of a more advanced model.

However, their reputable backgrounds, in-depth knowledge, youthful determination, ample resources, and inherent entrepreneurial spirit continue to set them apart from their rivals and solidify their position as industry leaders. Through a partnership with RDM Aquaculture, LLC, they have had the rare opportunity to expand and rethink their business model by incorporating commercial farmers into the harvesting process and expanding into new areas of the United States.
