The fruit wholesaler A Mundial Rocha, Lda. was founded in August 2005 with the social goal of growing, selling, and exporting fruit, specifically Rocha pears.

In August 2007, the company changed its legal structure from Sociedad por Quotas to Sociedad Anónima after increasing its share capital and bringing on new partners. This represented a production area of 174 hectares of fruit, with a focus on the Rocha pear, whose productive area is 131 hectares.

Following the aforementioned modifications, Mundial Rocha, Comércio de Frutas, SA changed its corporate purpose to: - Production, marketing, import, export, and appreciation of the same obtained from its shareholders and in national and international markets, through concentration, packaging, transformation, and commercialization.
