Founded in 1967, Granoro is today one of the leading Italian companies in the pasta sector. The company's goal has always been to delight the palates of people around the world every day, ensuring high product quality at a fair price, using the best grains and raw materials, according to the most authentic Italian culinary tradition.
Today, Granoro brand pasta can be found on the shelves of stores and supermarkets in over 180 countries, with more than 150 formats available.
Granoro's exports account for approximately 48% of its global turnover, with an average annual growth of +22% in recent years. The countries where Granoro products are most present include South Korea, Japan, the United States, South Africa, Brazil, and others.
Sales growth has been notable in key countries such as France, China, Turkey, Qatar, Libya, and Saudi Arabia, where Granoro has recorded an increase of +60%.
Among the main innovations proposed by Granoro is the creation in 2012 of an important project for the enhancement and sustainability of high-quality durum wheat for the production of 100% Puglia pasta: the Granoro “Dedicato” project, which now aggregates around 350 cereal farms, two storage companies, and a mill, all strictly located in Puglia. This project produces over 20,000 tons of high-quality durum wheat entirely obtained in Puglia, from which approximately 15,000 tons of semolina and around 12,000 tons of pasta are developed annually. Producing traditional and high-quality Italian pasta is the principle, vocation, and constant commitment that characterizes the company's philosophy.
Granoro has embarked on a sustainability path that will allow it to manage its resources efficiently and strategically, whether they are natural, financial, human, or relational. This path enables the company to proactively contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) directly related to its business, by defining commitments and objectives within a three-year Strategic Sustainability Plan and communicating them to stakeholders through the preparation of the Sustainability Report.
In addition to meticulous internal controls, the entire manufacturing process at Granoro is certified by external bodies that guarantee high-quality standards. The company holds the most important international certifications, which confer reliability and credibility in both national and international markets.
Among the high-level innovations in Granoro’s sustainability journey, the application of blockchain technology stands out on the packaging of the "Dedicato" line, through the My Story™ solution by Dnv, a complex process that tells consumers the true story of the product in its various aspects, ensuring the authenticity of the wheat's origin.
