Quinta do Silval

- Quinta do Silval owns about 22 hectares of vineyards and are situated in the famous parishes of Vale de Mendiz and Roncão, about 6 km from The Village of Pinhão,
- The main varieties planted are Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barroca. In the older vineyards are also the varieties Red Cão and Malvasia Preta.
- The production of Port Wine by Quinta do Silval is secular, as well as its storage in cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia, in order to promote the export of its wine. The transport of wine from The Village of Pinhão to the cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia was carried out by the picturesque rabelo boats.
