TS Agriculture Products Sdn Bhd (TSAP) started in the 1970s with conservative farming by Mr Khor Hok Ley. He started off with typical farming method to produce fresh vegetables for his family and to supply to the locals. He improved on his farming techniques and methods over the years. Mr Khor Hok Lay also expanded his farm during his tenures. With a strict principle of ‘always give the best to others’ and ‘act with conscience, Mr Khor has soon build up a name for himself and became a well-known farmer and wholesaler in town.
As Mr Khor Hok Lek’s retirement approached, his son, Mr Khor Tiam Seng, took over the business in 2014. Managing approximately 25 acres of vegetable farms spread across Pos Terisu, Kuala Terla in Cameron Highlands, which cultivates about 30 types of highlands vegetables, and with the establishment of the main TSAP administrative office cum distribution centre, at Pusat Perdagangan Corina, Kampung Raja, Mr Khor Tiam Seng’s roles are to provide ongoing and ever-increasing demand of fresh highland vegetables, to provide consultancy services to customers, to provide technical advice to growers, to collaborate with varsities as well as to enter strategic partnerships with serious investors in agro-businesses, which today form the core of the company.
Mr Khor Tiam Seng is also a self-taught agriculturist who have done a lot of agro-related researches such as soil contamination and treatment, effective agro pest control, effective use of pesticides and fertilizers with minimal risk, farm landscaping and irrigation, as well as creating new organic pesticides and fertilizers. Having shared agro technology passion with his friends from Taiwan, the younger Mr Khor is also very proud with his own personal researches in aquaculture, biotechnology, tissue culture and agrotechnology, in which, he is most willing to share his views and researches with interested parties.
Today, TSAP is proud to stand as one of the many large distributor of highland vegetables in Cameron Highland. TSAP owed its success to all local business associates, suppliers, distributors, supporters and most importantly, its administrative team.
