Vattudalens Fisk

Three co-owners started the company in 2009 in the municipality of Strömsund.In open boxes in Ströms Vattudal, Vattudalen fish raises food fish of the species Rainbow salmon (Oncorhynchus mykiss) and Trout (Salvelinus alpinus).

In the clear, icy waters of Jämtland, we have been raising noble fish like rainbow salmon (Oncorhynchus mykiss) and char (Salvelinus alpinus) for more than a decade. In addition to breeding, we collaborate closely with Swedish research and industry development, among other organizations. Employees at the company have received industry training and have several years of experience breeding animals. Because the operations are taking place in power plant reservoirs, the lake's water flow has been significantly altered and is extremely depleted of nutrients, which has an impact on the lake's classification and the aquatic life that lives there.
