The agroindustrial group Vicentin S.A.I.C.'s origins date back to a minor stockpiling operation in the province of Santa Fe, Argentina, in the late 1920s. Years later, the business started with the construction of its first oil factory by processing peanuts, flax, and cotton seeds.
The company started working in the biofuel sector in the middle of 2007, becoming the first firm in the nation to export biodiesel from its plant in Avellaneda, Santa Fe. Renova is the result of a joint venture between Oleaginosa Moreno S.A. and Vicentin S.A.I.C. (belonging to Glencore). After some time, Molinos Ro de la Plata joins the group as a third member. The production and commercialization of biodiesel, glycerol, and refined oils are among their shared goals, with the ultimate goal of becoming South America's largest facility.
