VIÑA COSTEIRA

- Established in 1968. Viña Costeira was founded in the Appellation Ribeiro, Galicia, North west of Spainwith the aim to recover the indigenous grapes. Ribeiro is a great area of winemaking tradition since Roman times and our winery was a pioneer in the area.
-Today Viña Costeira has about 1.000 ha of vineyard (we have 40% of the total production of the DO ) being the largest winery in Galicia and also number 1 in sales of white wine of Galicia.
-IFS certification and we are preparing for the BRC. Our company is composed of 3 wineries: Bodegas Viña Costeira in the DO Ribeiro (53 years of wine making tradition), Pazo de Toubes from 1742 with 9 ha of vineyard and about 30.000 bottles of production and also in the DO Ribeiro and Bodegas Viña Costeira in the DO Valdeorras with about 45 ha of vineyard. In Ribeiro we make wines from local grape varieties like Treixadura, Torrontes, Albariño, Loureiro and Godello and in the DO Valdeorras - Mencia, Old Vine Garnacha and Godello.
