In the early 1970’s the Farmer and Rancher got to keep about $ .36 on the retail dollar of the value of the hard work. Today it is between $ .12 to $ .14 of the retail dollar they have invested.

I today’s world the Big Four meat companies control about 80% of all the proteins that are raised in the United States. It appears that their goal to to have all producers raise animals for them and squeeze out every penny of profit from the family Farmer and Rancher.

Western Trio with it’s four main management team has over 200 years of real life experience in the Food and Protein Industry. We understand every phase of the food process and have the skills to guide the Family Farmer or Rancher from the Dirt to the Dinner Plate!

Joseph Schumacher has joined forces with us to promote not only his American Wagyu Beef, but to help fellow Ranchers get out of the grasp of the larger AG Industry Monsters that will not allow the Rancher to earn a fair piece of the pie for their hard work.

Joe has explained to us that the big guys are trying to black list him in the American Waygu industry. What does that mean? It means they are against Schumacher Farms Cattle Company from helping him and his fellow Cattle Ranchers from getting a seat at the table.

Western Trio works with the smaller local harvest facilities between 100 to 600 head a day across the United States. We are looking to partner with Butcher Shops and Meat Cutting operations that want a stable source of American Wagyu – we can get you the best that the Rancher has on quality on marbling at an fair but aggressive price that will allow you to compete against the Mega Companies. We are basing our pricing on what the real costs of raising the Animals and we control the Harvest and put them into primals for Chefs, Butcher Shops, and Further Processing Cut Facilities. In the real world the big four are just marketing companies – why buy from them when you can by directly from the Farmer or Rancher!

“The Wagyu market is controlled by 4 main buyers in the US. They all sell the same program to the farmer rancher by telling them we have bulls that you buy or lease, you feed the calves til their 27 to 29 months old and then we have the right to buy the fats at a price that we set. It controls the farmer rancher and being there are only 4 main buyers it very much limits where and when you can market the animals.

The reason the big four are black listing me is because I was willing to take less profit and gave more back to the farmer ranch. A farmer rancher who raises and feeds out Wagyu fats owns, feeds, cares for and has a large investment in it and yet when he sells that animal he receives a small percentage of the profit after he has taken all the risk.

I was buying fats that normally would have been sold to one of the big 4 and I was paying the farmer rancher a better price. I then sold them to one of the big 4 at a higher price.They didn't like that so now unless I want to sell to them at a price that is barely over break even, they won't buy”

The margin on good Wagyu beef is high enough that everyone in the process should be able to make a good profit.
