Green in colour and ellipsoid in shape, it has a white pulp and small white seeds. It has a distinctive sweet aromatic and is a source of Vitamin B1, B2, B3, B6, B9 and C, and the following minerals: calcium, magnesium, sodium, zinc, phosphorous and potassium.
To eat a feijoa, cut (or split by hand) in half and extract the creamy white pulp with a spoon. Feijoa is also used to prepare salads, juices, ice cream. The skin is not edible
